MI Paste Plus for Treatment of White Spots After Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontic treatment can be a long and arduous process, but it can also result in a beautiful, straight smile. However, sometimes after the braces come off, patients may notice white spots on their teeth, which can be unsightly and concerning. Fortunately, there is a solution: MI Paste Plus.

MI Paste Plus is a topical paste that contains calcium and phosphate, which are essential minerals for strong, healthy teeth. The paste can help to remineralize teeth and reduce the appearance of white spots.

When applied immediately before bed, the material is then left in place, to dissolve slowly overnight. It is not rinsed out.

  • Apply using a finger or custom tray at night after properly brushing and flossing

  • Leave for approximately three minutes and then spit out

  • Do not rinse and avoid food or drink for 30 minutes

  • Nightly application is the standard recommendation

  • For high-risk patients, apply both morning and night

It's important to note that while MI Paste Plus can be effective for reducing the appearance of white spots, it may not completely eliminate them. In some cases, cosmetic dental procedures such as teeth whitening or dental bonding may be necessary to achieve the desired results.
